ARTWORK REQUIREMENTS

HIGH QUALITY ARTWORK IS REQUIRED FOR LOGOS AND SPECIALTY LAYOUTS.

If any adjustments to your artwork must be made by personalized-ribbons.com additional charges may apply.

ART FILE FORMATS ACCEPTED:

All files must be submitted in a vector format (.eps, .ai, .cdr). Image files that are embedded in a .doc or.pdf file may also be accepted if the embedded file is a vector file. Ribbons with imprints require artwork to be submitted in black and white.

PREPARING YOUR ARTWORK TO BE SUBMITTED:

Convert all fonts (type) to outlines whenever possible.

All artwork must be sent with all information needed to open that file. If you have used fonts (text) in the creation of your file please convert them to curves or outlines-if this is not possible it may be necessary for you to provide the necessary font files.

If you are sending a compressed file, please make sure it is a self-expanding  file or that it is compressed using WinZip.

Unfortunately, we cannot  consider photocopies, business cards, faxes, letterhead or other printed  products to be camera-ready artwork. We can quote most jobs by using such  artwork, but we cannot use this art for production.

Artwork submitted should be PC compatible. If you want to submit files that have been created on a Macintosh, please convert ALL text to curves and save in a PC compatible format.

COLOR CONSIDERATIONS:

Ribbon colors and imprint colors shown on this website are close approximations of the ribbon colors, however they are not an exact match and no guarantee is made as to the exact color of the ribbons. If desired you may communicate a desired color choice by PMS colors, however the colors of ribbons and foils are limited by what is available and there is no guarantee that match is possible.

CONVERTING LOW QUALITY IMAGES TO VECTOR ART OR HIGH QUALITY IMAGES:

It is not possible to convert a low quality image into a vector file simply by saving it in a vector format. When this is attempted the low quality image is simply embedded in the new file--no conversion takes place.

It is not possible to change a low quality image to a higher quality image simply by saving it with higher dpi settings. The image will have more dots per inch—but the quality will remain the same or even degrade further.

For your convenience we offer Artwork clean-up/conversion. Clean-up/conversion will not be done until you have approved the clean-up/conversion, and you will be charged for this service, even if an order is not completed (you can request the new file be sent to you upon payment of your order). There is a 24 hour turnaround required for this service with no expediting available. Please see the chart below to determine the cost of art cleanup/conversion:

METAL DIE RETENTION—RIBBONS

Dies used for ribbons will not be saved unless specifically requested in which case additional charges may apply to retain them for 18 months.
