Customer Donations: Dorset Equine Rescue

From amazing customer service to providing donations, Coller Industries is all about helping others.

When one thinks of personalized identification, name tags come to mind almost immediately. However, personalized ribbons are a large part of identification needs as well. Coller Industries prides ourselves on our service, professionalism and production in these fantastic products. Our main focus is always helping our customers. As part of this, we often provide donations to those in need.

Once again, we were able to donate to a wonderful cause.

The Dorset Equine Rescue is a non-profit organization located in East Dorset, Vermont. The organization rescues horses and aids in the healing process which restores their health and wellness until they can be adopted.

Kayla Chilcote is hosting an event for the organization. “The mission and goals (for the event) are to raise money for the Equine Rescue so they can continue to give proper care and help pay for the costs they have to pay (for each of the horses they rehabilitate).”

The Dorset Equine Rescue strives to educate the community about all matters of horse care, health, and advocacy to continuously improve the long-honored and time-tested human-equine partnership.

The event that Chilcote is hosting in September will be to benefit the Gymkhana event. It is an event consisting of speed pattern racing and timed games for riders on horses. Often, these events emphasize children participation.

Coller Industries was able to help with the award ribbons for the event.

Stock Victory Torch Ribbons
These award ribbons can be used for any competition or event. They have an attached event card on the back and a string through the top that can be used to display the ribbon. Available in first through tenth place and other titles. Each ribbon has a pinked bottom edge in order to reduce fraying.

“(I’m very grateful that your) company helped us out so we can give the ones who compete the ribbons they deserve since they have donated to the rescue,” said Chilcote.

Summer is here which means construction is all around us. This can only mean one thing: there will be new businesses in your area soon! And what comes with these new businesses is grand openings and all the pomp and circumstance that goes with them. From a ribbon cutting to free stuff, we’ve all been guilty of attending at least one of these in our lives.

These ribbon cutting ceremonies can be anything like a store reopening after a remodel, an open house for new residential areas and even a groundbreaking at a local park or other public recreation area. No matter the event, these larger ribbons are a great item to have around.

So, now the question remains, where did they get that ribbon? This makes your first step to find that ribbon!

Full Color Ribbon Rolls are probably the best way to get this accomplished. While there are several other choices in multiple ribbon colors and imprint colors, full color will come with the widest option. While most of these ribbon selections can be used for tying, some are prettier than others. But don’t discount ribbon types like grosgrain or organza quite yet. These ribbons have their uses too!

Satin and acetate ribbons are perfect for flowers and gifts. Tying bows is simple and they hold well. Tie them around your bouquets for that great looking bow. They hold their shape will so that the bow’s loops remain plush and open. These ribbons are also useful for decorating because of their shiny quality. They work great when hung with other decorations or used on centerpieces for tables.

Grosgrain
(This ribbon) is heavily textured on both sides. Consequently, the imprinting will have lines running through it where the color of the ribbon will show through. This can lead to a more casual or “distressed” look in the final ribbon. (And,) the material itself is slightly thicker and heavier than (other ribbons).

Chiffon – Organza
(This ribbon choice) has an open, mesh-like weave that allows you to see through it. Because of this transparency, …organza has a very elegant look, making it a popular choice for weddings or other formal events. It has a stiff texture that works well for almost any size bow.

Whatever you decide to use for your decorating, make sure that your imprinting choices match your ribbon choice. Printing on satin versus grosgrain, and even organza, will always show up differently. Watch your text and image choices when selecting your ribbons.
