Personalized Ribbon Greeting Cards

If you’re like many people, you may want to get a jump start on your gift purchases for the year. And one of the most important things is the need to keep the cost down, after all, we’re not made of money. This comes into play when you’re trying to personalize the gift to each person, and what better way to personalize than to make a card that comes from the heart. After all, it isn’t the gift they will remember, it’s the way they felt knowing it was from you.

So, why not make your gifts personal? Choose from a wide variety of our ribbon rolls and create your own home made cards! We have anything and everything (seriously, we have an actual “ribbon room” in our building)! Check out everything we have to offer on our website: www.personalized-ribbons.com.

Don’t set yourself short by limiting this to only birthday cards. Cards can range from birthdays to thank you’s and even include wedding invites and baby shower invites. We can print almost anything on our wide stock of ribbons. We also have several different ways of printing on them.

Use scraps of ribbon to create shapes for each card. These possibilities are endless; create Christmas trees, snowflakes, bunnies, hearts and anything else your heart desires. Use snippets from a ribbon roll with a personalized message. Messages can include happy birthday, thinking of you, happy holidays, and so forth. Each card becomes an individualized way to express yourself. Say you’re sorry, send best wishes for a special occasion, or just simply personalize the card just because you can.

When you add personalized ribbon to a card as an embellishment, it creates a 3D effect and makes everything stand out. Show your friends and family members that you really care by mixing in ribbons on your homemade greeting cards. Not only have you now created your own personalized cards, but you should still have plenty of the personalized ribbons to wrap any presents that coordinate with the card!

How To: Rosette Award Ribbon Wreaths

award ribbon wreath using rosette ribbons

During this early spring season, many shows are happening. And during these shows, many awards are given. Whether it’s for a prize animal, winning in a race or competition, or for a school or sporting event, all of these received awards deserve a special place to call home. There are many different ways of displaying these honors. This is a guide on how to make a rosette award ribbons wreath. These ribbon wreaths are not only easy to create, but they are also a fun way to show off several awards in one place. Follow these quick and easy steps to create your own wreath.

Step 1: Gather any rosette award ribbons that you will want on your wreath.

Gathering materials for rosette award ribbon wreathThe first step is to gather all your items together onto a flat work surface. Only four items are needed to create this one-of-a-kind decoration. You will need to find a wreath that will fit with your needs. We purchased a 14” grape vine wreath from a local craft store. You also need all the rosette award ribbons you want to attach to the wreath. Make sure that you are willing to trim these ribbons; you don’t want to trim streamers off ribbons that you might regret at a later time. Lastly, you need a hot glue gun with glue sticks and a pair of sharp scissors.

Step 2: Preparing your ribbons for the wreath.

trimming the streamers off the rosette ribbonsThe ribbon wreath that we created had two ribbons that we left the streamers on. You can have as few or as many as you would like. Take the ribbons that you want to leave the streamers on, and set them aside so you don’t accidentally trim the streamers. The remaining ribbons will need to have the streamers cut off. The best way to do this is to turn them over so you are looking at the back of the rosette. Trim each streamer as close to the backing as possible so that nothing will show underneath from the front side. Turn the rosette back over to make sure the streamers are not showing.

Step 3: Arranging the ribbon wreath.

arranging the ribbons in the correct placement before gluing them in placeOnce this is done for each rosette, arrange them however you would like on the wreath. Start with the rosettes you set aside with the streamers still attached and work around the wreath from that point. It is ideal to place the rosettes first before gluing them down to make sure you like the look as well as have enough room for each ribbon you want to incorporate onto the wreath. If you run out of room, consider leaving some of the ribbons out or try stacking or layering them. In our version, we wanted some of the wreath to show through, so we only used a handful of ribbons.

Step 4: Assembling the ribbon wreath.

finish the wreath by gluing the rosettes down with hot glueWhen you are completely satisfied with the look you have now created, start gluing each ribbon down. Use the hot glue to permanently set each ribbon into place. We found that by putting the glue directly onto the wreath’s surface, the rosettes stayed in place better. Once the last rosette has been firmly secured, the final step is locating the best place to hang your new treasure! Whether you’re creating this ribbon wreath for personal or professional use, have fun with it and make it something of which to be proud.

Displaying Award Ribbons and Rosettes

It’s that time of year again when we are all receiving award ribbons. Whether it’s from a prize horse or dog show or just a recognition award, they sure come in hoards! So, what are we to do with all of them? Many suggestions have been offered over the years. In fact, if one was to browse Pinterest or equestrian show sites, others who have faced this problem are offering solutions. Here are a few of them.

Use each of your ribbons to create a one-of-a-kind wreath for your home. These can even be holiday themed or color coordinated.

Holiday Ribbons: Mother’s Day & Father’s Day

father's day ribbon roll for wrappingmother's day ribbon roll for wrappingTwo of the year’s most important holidays are right around the corner. While commercialism has successfully capitalized on Christmas, Halloween, Easter and many other holidays, Mother’s Day and Father’s Day have yet to really hit that commercial mark. They have, however, given us a good sense of gifts that we can give to those we love and call our parents.

These gifts have such a large variety to them that the sky is the limit. We are here to help you wrap them. Grab up a custom holiday ribbon roll and personalize it with your message. It can be a plain “Have A Great Day” to save from the actual specification of the day or, print a recipient’s name on it. The best thing about continuous holiday ribbon rolls is that they never seem to end. Your creative mind is the only limit here. We have combined several ideas into our “Idea Gallery” on our website; here we only offer a few.

Find your mom that perfect flower bouquet and make it extra special by wrapping the stems or vase with your custom holiday ribbon roll. Or give her a single flower for that simple statement of “I Love you, Mom.” A box of chocolates will look great when wrapped in a pretty bow that has the words “Happy Mother’s Day” printed on it. There are many ways to use holiday ribbon rolls for Father’s Day as well. Use the holiday ribbon to make your father a special tie card, or wrap up a present with your specialized message of love.

Whatever your choice, remember to get your order in soon so that it arrives well before these holidays! This way, when it comes time, you’ll be ready with that wonderful, personalized surprise for that perfect parent in your life.
